About

A finance app built by someone who needed it

Navefi grew out of a spreadsheet that had stopped being enough. The goal was never another attractive dashboard, but an answer to the question that matters: can I afford this, this month?

Why it exists

The personal finance apps on offer were either foreign and blind to Portugal, or built by a bank and limited to that bank’s accounts. None of them answered with all the money in view.

One simple thing was missing: pull together accounts across banks, the meal card, the broker and the mortgage, and then talk about it in Portuguese.

How we decide what to build

There is one rule. If a feature does not change a money decision, it does not ship. Charts that exist to be admired stay out.

The second rule is that manual work is the enemy. Anything Navefi can do on its own, it does on its own, and when it gets something wrong it learns from the correction.

How we make money

Subscriptions. Only subscriptions. We do not sell data, we do not run advertising, and we take no commission for recommending financial products.

That is a business-model choice, not a slogan. If it ever changed, we would lose the right to write this sentence, and we intend to keep it.

Where we are

Navefi is built in Portugal. Data is hosted in the European Union.

If you write to us, a person answers, not a support robot.
